The ‘Falls the Shadow’ short film screened at the Antipodean Film Festival at St Tropez Nov 2010, the NZ Arts Channel, and was one of the three documentaries in ‘The New Zealanders on the Western Front: 3 Documentaries’, screened for the commemoration of the Battle of Passchendaele anniversary.
On ANZAC Day 2012 it was screened as one of 4 documentaries (with WW1 documentaries by Robyn Malcolm, David Blyth and Gaylene Preston) at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, and at cinemas around New Zealand.
‘Falls the Shadow’ Soundscape composed by Andrew McMillan
using sounds of clay from the battlefield being worked in the studio and WW1
equipment (shovels as gongs and shell cases as a wind sound. The Soundscape
accompanies the ‘Falls the Shadow’ exhibition
